#GetSocialDublin: ICE was delighted to have been part of such successful campaign!

The Campign

What was the objective of the campaign?

The objective of the campaign, which is funded by the Department under the Dormant Accounts Fund and was in line with the National Policy on Social Enterprise, aims to educate key stakeholders as to what social enterprise is and the myriad of social and economic benefits it brings to Dublin.

What’s involved?

The campaign called on people and the wider business community to support social enterprises by buying a product or service, offering their time as a volunteer or as a business investing in the enterprise to enable greater growth and profits to be reinvested into their social objectives and the community they serve.

Social Enterprise Dublin

Social Enterprise Dublin aims to provide top quality support to Social Enterprise in the Dublin area so they can start, grow and increase their impact on the local communities.

In Autumn 2019, six well established Dublin based organisations identified that by working together, they could deliver a superior quality of support to Social Enterprises in the region. In 2021 a seventh organisation joined the consortium. They share a common philosophy and approach to their work.

Each consortium member has existing relationships with trading Social Enterprises and a range of experience delivering Social Enterprise supports prior to this programme. They prioritise local needs and use community development methods to support social enterprise activity in their areas.

This consortium initially worked under the name Social Enterprise Community of practice or SE Cop but rebranded to Social Enterprise Dublin in 2022.
